Hi there, welcome back to my blog! Today's topic is about a cool web-based tool that I love to use while staying motivated: PADLET In this blog, I'm going to talk about Padlet in general and my own experience while using it! Let's take a look at Padlet as a great digital education tool! :)
๐ŸŒบ What is Padlet?
Padlet is a website that provides users with an online notice board by creating digital canvas and classrooms for both teachers and students. The walls that Padlet provides for users can feature various videos, images, links, documents and can be made ''public'' or ''private'' by everyone, not only teachers but also students can post their digital canvas! This feature of Padlet supports a great collaborative environment & work for users as many people can post and write their opinions to the same board at the same time! By using padlet, users are also able to digitize their clasroom and use it as an interactive space & reliable source for different activities & tasks. Another great appeal of Padlet is that users can use the interavitve space by accessing to the platform from their cellphones, laptops, computers and other devices without having problems!
๐ŸŒบ How to use Padlet?
As I said, using Padlet in the classroom is easy and convenient, so let me briefly talk about the usage of Padlet and how you can create or get access to a collaborative atmosphere on Padlet: ◾️ You can start to use Padlet without downloading it by just visiting the official website of Padlet! If you want, you can still install the Padlet app on your mobile device. ◾️ You can create your own account and make your first board freely! ◾️ After you are done with your digital notice board, you can share your Padlet board by choosing a QR code or a link for your board with others. ◾️ Padlet users that you invite can be easily directed to your Padlet board as a guest without downloading the app or by just scanning the qr code & typing the URL to come to your board as a Padlet member! ◾️ Finally, you can meet with others in your board online, exchange some ideas, and talk about verious topics easily.
๐ŸŒบ How to make a Padlet + Various Examples from the Padlet community + My Own Experience
You can create your own padlet by selecting various options. You can start with a blank wall as a warm-up and continue with creative maps, canvas, grids and many more!
Before I talk about my own experience with Padlet, I want to emphasize and display what a great community Padlet has in its Gallery! You can get inspired and grasp some good ideas from these examples by taking a look at Gallery!
I started to use Padlet in my first year of university. I loved how Padlet welcomed me with motivational words, great compliments, comforting sentences. Today I got a motivational quote from Padlet! :) I mostly used Padlet for English subjects and I can say that I improved my English skills, such as listening, writing abilities, by using Padlet from time to time! It was a great experience for me to explore such a good website, read my classmates' thoughts, opinions, recommendations about the subjects and contrinute to some subjects as a member! But I didn't stop there. This year I also used Padlet for my technology class and wrote answers for a youtube video to our board. It was fun & satisfying to see how almost all of my classmates share the same opinions with me about the video. Here are some examples from my experience with Padlet!
๐ŸŒบ Different Ways to use Padlet in the classroom: Teacher Version You can use Padlet as a brainstorming tool by creating a Padlet wall & canvas or map for your students and start to collect & share some ideas from them about the subject/topic. ◽️ You can use Padlet as a educational tool which provides students with the opition of posting comments & giving feedback about their learning process. ◽️ You can make your students use Padlet as their own portfolio where they dsiplay their understanding, work and opinions. ◽️ You can use Padlet as your classroom wall where you have a chance to remind your students about assignments and homework. ◽️ You can provide some good resources through Padlet wall so that your students check them out. ◽️ You can create some discussion environments where students exhange some ideas with their peers and interact with them on Classroom Padlet wall. ◽️ You can make your students share their ideas and reflections about their learning process & what they've learned so far in the classroom.
You can check out the official website of Padlet: https://padlet.com/ And for detailed information, don't forget to check Padlet's official Youtube channel! :)
That is the end of my Padlet blog, I hope you had fun and enjoyed while reading my blog! Let's meet each other with another blog, goodbye! :)
